Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

personel loan

I loaned my son and fiance 13000 for a wedding with a stipulation of repayment if marriage lasts less than 5 years.30 days after wedding she started dating photographer

from wedding.Now divorced,any law to try to collect debt,misrepresenting,deception,???Total marriage 8 months

any help? grasping for an out!

ouch, real ouch. sorry to hear it.

If your son and ex-daughterinlaw agreed to repay if marriage ended in x years or less, then you have some basis to at least claim repayment is owed.

Do either of these people have money at all?

Do either of them still live in NJ (not crucial but much easier to sue here)?

this may be worth a little investigating.
