Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey
I plan on marrying a divorcee. Her ex-husband is still alive. She has 2 children both in their 20's. If something happens to her after we are married, would I be responsible for any debt incurred prior to marriage: such as kids college tuition bills?

If these are not your children, and you have not agreed in any way to be responsible for their college tuition or other debts, then no, you are not liable for her kids' college tuition.
If she needs any help from a divorce attorney, have her call me.
