Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

shady business practice

Internet company reported my

outstanding balance of $78.17 to a

collections agency without giving me

oportunity to pay after notifying

them in writing through the BBB I

was awaiting their approval to pay.

They never informed me the bill

would be sent to collections if not

paid by any certain time. I was

waiting for a response by them via

the BBB in order to know if paying by

debit gift card was acceptable as they

only accept credit/debit for payment.
