Re: Statute of Limitations

There has been no recent change. Keep in mind that limitations on actions differ somewhat from State to State. Both the UCC and its New Jersey enactment place a six year limitation for collection of negotiable instruments (UCC 3-118; NJSA 12A:3-118). You may be thinking of the four year limitations for enforcement of contracts for the sale of goods. (UCC 2-275; NJSA 12A:2-275)
