Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New Jersey

Being sued by credit card company

I am being sued by a credit card company. I just got the letter today. My question is...can the attorney ask me to post date checks to make a payment arrangement? I offered to pay $500 a month for a $1500 debt and mail a money order. I don't want it to automatically come ou t of my checking account and he denied me. Also, what will happen If I can't make a payment arrangment with them. All I want to do is pay the thing and get it over with.

you hire an attorney like me, who does some of these cases, and I fight them for you until they back off.

For some reason, I have had four of these cases this year.
