In NJ can a Spouse be added to a suit if they are not a party to the original debt and not on the original bill

Anyone can be sued. A spouse who is not a party to a debt may have defenses to a suit. Under certain conditions, a suit against a non-debtor spouse may be considered frivilous and costs recovered.
