Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I'm 18 and with advice from police and my employer filed a restraining order against my mother. I left home before my 18th birthday with help from DYFS, but I do have a juvenile record based on numerous complaints by my mother. When I went to court yesterday I was told she has now filed a restraining order against my for domestice violence. I was told that my restraining order had to be based on things she's done since I turned 18. Her lawyer said she's introducing my juvenile records. Is this legal? I haven't been anywhere near her since I left home-yet she's continued her harassment including my place of employment. My question is--can she use my juvenile record (no drugs-just hitting walls) for her restraining order?

This is just miserable. I am sorry that your own mother is doing these things to you.

You need to defend yourself. Domestic Violence charges are very serious stuff. You should get a lawyer to defend you, immediately.

Let me know if you want me to assist you. But please, get a lawyer right away.
