2C:10(a)(4) is a charge for posession of 50 grams of marijuana or less. It is what is called a Disorderly Persons Offense, which means that it is a lower level violation of the New Jersey criminal code, and the case will be heard in the local municipal court in the town where the offense occurred instead of the higher level superior court. However, if you are under age 18 and get charged with this your case will be heard in the superior court. The penalties include fines of up to $1,000.00, other mandatory monetary penalties for various government funds, potentially up to six months in jail and potentially a loss of your drvier's license for up to two years (minimum six months loss of license).

I am an attorney who has handled many cases invlolving this charge in the past. If you would like to discuss this case in more detail and to see what I may be able to do to help you out, please call me at 908-272-0111. There is never any charge for simply talking to me about a case. Thank you.

Sincerely yours, -Ronald Aronds, Esq.-

The offense is possession of 50 grams or less of

marijuana. Upon conviction there is a six to twenty-four month of New Jersey driving privileges and an assortment of fines and other penalties. There is first offender treatment which may be available whereby loss of driving privileges and a record for a drug offense can be avoided. Give me a call to discuss the case if you like.
