2C:29-3A(7) - hindering of other
In NJ i am being charge with the charge 2c:29-3a(7) for hindering the prosecution of other - cop asked mie if i knew someone and i said no. Is this a felony or a misdeamoner charge and what is the most amount of jail time i can be looking at?

That is a felony and you could face prison time. I suggest you speak to an attorney ASAP.

Basically, the degree of this offense is one degree less than the offense committed the other cop is supposed to have committed.

There is a lot of information needed to determine a jail sentence, you need to see an attorney as stated by the other lawyers here. There may be a defense here as well.
