Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

2c:36:2 first offense

I was at a concert in the parking lot. A cop saw me inhaling from a ballon. I was charged with inhaling nitrous oxide. I would like to keep my record clean. Is this possible?

If this is all you were charged with, it is interesting that you were not charged with drug possession or drug use, but only with possession of drug paraphernalia - the balloon. The prosecutor may have a hard time proving that you were doing anything illegal. It appears that there is a lot a lawyer can do to help you with this case. I suggest you call one. If you wish to discuss your case with my office, call 877/688/3879.
