You have not cited a section of the criminal law of New Jersey. As for being charged with sale of a controlled dangerous substance as a first offense the possible prison sentence depends on which drug it is, the amount of drug sold and to whom it was sold. As a minimum, selling a controlling dangerous substance is at least a third degree crime, punishable by up to five years in prison.
