Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

3 rd degree official misconduct in NJ

I accepted a plea bargain for 3rd degree official misconduct. When can this be expunged from my records? What employment can I seek? And can I move to another state and work for the government in another state? Will I be able to hold a Medical or Dental license in any state?

It can be expunged ten years after the last event of your conviction, the end of your probation, tdhe service of the prison sentence and the payment of any fine.

If you apply for a job where a criminal record check will be made

your conviction will probably prevent your being hired.

So far as your hold a medical or dental license that is a question for the state authority which issues the license. Generally, a criminal conviction does not permanently bar the issuance of a medical or dental license, when you were previously licensed. Some states do not have reciprocity in terms of the loss of a dental or medical license. Montana, I believe is one. You can research this part of the question on the internet.
