If you are found guilty of second degree charges for endangering the welfare of a minor there is a slim chance that you would be accepted into PTI. The best case scenario is you are given probation. The worst case scenario is you do up to ten years in state prison, likely at the sex offender prison in Avenel, and have to register as a sex offender under Megan's law for the rest of your life. In reality your sentence will be somewhere inbetween those two extremes. If you do not already have a lawyer you really do need one. These are extremely serious charges. I am an attorney who has handled many cases similar to yours in various courts throughout New Jersey in the past. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
