Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
3rd degree felony
Hi. I was dating a con artist. didnt know at the time. committed a crime together, but was forced to turn myself in. he was and still is mia. I have no priors, but I am on probationa dn have a 12.000.00 restitution to pay. Im having trouble finding work that affords me enough to pay it off. If I file for bankruptcy, will I still have to pay this debt?

Yes, you cannot discharge that. I would suggest speaking with an attorney to make sure your guilty plea was proper as that may be a good way to undo everything.
