Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
My 20 year old daughter was interviewed by the police about an incident with her boyfriend. He pointed a gun at her and threatened her. He is in jail now for alot of charges. His mother is terminally ill. My daughter is considering recanting her statement so he can get out to be with his mother. What are the possible consequences if she recants or does not cooperate in his trial?

Was there a gun recovered? It's actually very complicated. Your more than welcome to call my office. State can bring her to trial as a material witness. A lot of facts are missing.
