My 19 year old was aressted for biolation of NJs 2C:35-10A. (12 bags)

My son has never been arrested or had any tickets ever. My son was a high school basketball star. My son is drug free.

My son and I live in a drug infessed Housing Projects. My son wanted to play basketball and took off a (black hooded sweat shirt) and threw it on the ground in a pile of othr coats.

After playing ball he everyone picked up their clothing and went thir sepprate ways. My son got into his best friend's car to run to errand for my mother and police stoped him before the left. My son agreed to be searched. During the search narcotics found drugs on him. He never gave the police a hard time.

My son never has money. He just started a job and wanted to go to Community College.

He was released with a summons to appear.

Re: My 19 year old son was aressted for drugs

This could be very bad if he is charged with poss with intent in a public housing complex. However, based upon what you tell me, it doesn't seem like that is the case. If it is just a simple possession case, he is looking at a loss of license and a criminal record. Depending on the situation, he can apply for first offender treatment but I would still suggest getting an attorney as you can lose your license even with first offender treatment.

However, I don't like to rush my client into that type of situation when he has a case that can be won and it sounds like your son may have a good case.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
