Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
My 16 year old son came home with a BB/Pellet shooting air gun last night. What are New Jersey Laws regarding these type of guns?
1) How old must someone be to purchase one?
2) What is the responsibility of the store selling it? Proof of age, etc.
3) What if someone older than 18 years of age, and not a parent, guardian or relative, purchases the gun for a minor, have they committed a crime?
4) Can the purchaser be prosecuted?
