Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
it has been a 10 years since i was charged with a felony. i complied to all of my all my probation and restitution. now im facing charges of theft by unlawful taking. im not guilty. the plainiff in this matter is a detective. on the day of the eledge algations this dective sent someone impersonating to actually being an officer, demanding a cell phone. i went to the police station and reported what had happen. two months passed by and i didnt hear anything from the plainiff or the court. then to dectives show up to my house and arrested me. i didnt have a lawyer in the beginning and now im in the trail stages of this matter, i have a public defender apparently my public defender knows the plainiff and after speaking with her his character changed towards me. i need help i dont know what to do?
