Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I am 3 years and 9 months older then this girl so I am under 4 years older then her. She is 16 and I am 19. She lives in NJ and I live in PA. Could I be charged with statutory rape?

Are you having sex?
In NJ the legal age of consent is 16.
Make sure this person is at least 16.
If it turns out this person is not 16, you have committed statutory rape.
