Your daughter is facing a violation of the New Jersey Criminal Code for Underage Drinking. Her case will initially be heard in the juvenile court, but depending upon the cricumstances the prosecuotr could file a motion to have her tried in adult court. I would need to know more details about what happened before I could give you a full answer, but in general the penalties include high fines, having a juvenile record and potentially jail time (although this is not likely if she is a first time offender). I imagine that there must have been a neighbor who called the police because of some loud or otherwise disturbing behavior, so it's possible your daughter can also be charged with Disorderly Conduct or perhaps a violation of a local noise ordinance, and these also have similar repurcussions as the drinking charge.
