Your case has been sent to Superior Coiurt because the officer charged you with fourth degree

obstruction of justice, which has a maximum, possible prison sentence of eighteen months. As a first offender you will receive probation instead of a jail sentence upon conviction. As a first offender you are eligible for the pretrial intervention program, under which your charge will be

dismissed after successfully completing a perioc of supervision by the probation department. Call me if you likel.

You are likely charged with assault, and any time an assault is against a police officer it automatically becomes a superior court criminal offense of aggravated assault simply because the other person was a police officer. It is impossible to predict at this time what any sentence would be, however ANY superior court criminal case carries the potential for state prison time. Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.

I am assuming you already have a lawyer or public defender...if so, these questions should be directed to them. They are most familiar with the case.

If you don't have a lawyer's assistance yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? This is very serious and you need to pay attention or it will follow you for a long time.

Feel free to reply direct to [email protected] or call the office.
