my sun was arrested tonight don't know all details but was informed he admitted he had a 22.cal. derringer gun on him.

You have not provided any detail such as whether he has a prior criminal history and whether the weapon worked, etc.

He should not talk to anyone until he has spoken with counsel. Consult with counsel at once.
