Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

arrest warrant

i live in middlesex county, nj. i want to know if there are any criminal warrants out for my arrest. a friend ratted me out to cops about illegal activities i did in the past. they came once and arrested me. the cop told me he was going to investigate further into the matter. today 2 came to my door. one went to the front and one went to the back. i didn't answer. i called nearby towns to see if any warrants were active and said no. i even called the township that came here and they also said no. by law do they have to tell me if a warrant is issued? how do you find out if a warrant has been issued?
