Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I was arrested 3 times over 17 years ago. i am going to an expungement but the prosecutors office is objecting citing N.J.S.A. 2C:52-2a. A couple questions: 1) Does 3 convictions exclude you from getting an expungement? 2) Can the judge grant it anyway? What is the likelihood of that? 3) Will I get a chance to speak at the hearing if I go? Thanks for your help!

You can expunge one conviction for a crime (felony) and two convictions for disorderly person's offenses. It depends on what the offenses which you plead guilty to were.
