assault on self with baseball
my property was trespassed with thhose tresspasssing not leaving upon instant request , threatining me with a bat, and tire iron and attempting to provoke a fight using clear fighting words. eventually they attacked me and my unarmed friend. i was hit in the head with the tire iron and held by two with the third delivering a bat to my head. they forced entrance to my house , robbed me of my wallet , left when cops were called and my blood was flowing from my head. the police recovered the tire iron. i was rushed to the trauma center in ambulance where i stayed till morning. what charges may i file based on the events and how should i prepair to file a lawsuit. Thankyou.

I'm not sure why you should have to do anything. The cops should take care of this. A law suit could be tough because these people may not have any money. I suggest you contact the NJ VCCA http://www.state.nj.us/victims/ and work with them. You can get an attorney to not only help you deal with the law enforcement agencies but also to recover your out of pocket expenses up to $24,000. The best is, it costs you nothing.
As a VCCA attorney, I'd be happy to represent you.
