Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Bad check charge

I cashed my work check at a local check cashing service. Once I cashed it someone either working for the service or their bank copied and presented the check again with squiggles as a signature and someone cashed it for them at another bank. Then the check cashing place charged me with doing it! Unbelievable. I want to know what my rights are and how to defend myself.

Re: Bad check charge

Passing a bad check is a serious charge. Luckily, check cashing services usually take photos of the people who cash checks. If their picture of the 2nd casher isn't you, you have a powerful defense. Even if they don't have a picture, there are a lot of things to look at. You really need to speak with an attorney. Call me if you would like to discuss it further at 877*688*3879.
