Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Bail Laws

My sister is prosecuting her husband for a felony sexual assault charges. She has a protection order and he has been indicted by the Grand Jury (state charges). He has use their joint home as collateral for bail without her knowledge or consent. Is this legal? Also, wouldn't it make a protection order moot? If she calls in any harasament issue, she could lose her home.
