Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Can a bailed bond of 10% totalling %$5,000.00 be refunded upon completion of the cased.???

The bail bondsman does not deposit the bail with the Court. He merely gives the court a bond, which is essentially an insurance policy against a defendant not appearing in court. The 10% of the bail which is paid to a bondsman is basically an insurance premium. It is not refundable.
