Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Can a brother bring charges against an 83 man, his father, for the alleged rape of his sister, the 83 year old's daughter? This supposedly happened in NJ, in 1974. The brother wants charges to be made, not the sister/daughter, although she will not deny that the incident occurred

Bringing charges requires proof of facts which would support a conviction for a crime. Secondly, the statute of limitations is five years beyond the date that the child becomes an adult.
