Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Camera

A friend of mine, her camera was left at a friends house in florida. The friends mother sent it back to NJ, where we live, with another family member. This family member gave it to another family member and has been rather elusive about the camera. Not returning calls and not wanting to deliver it personally or allow it to be picked up. It is almost as if they intentionally are keeping this camera. Its been 5 months since the camera was supposed to return from florida and my friend cannot find the receipt for buying the camera. She wishes to take them to small claims court but is unsure if that is even viable. The camera was $600 when purchased.

Re: Camera

You will need proof that they even got it. If you have it, file a complaint with the NB municipal court.
