Car Confiscated

I want to know if someone borrowed your car to run an errand, and then come to find out it was used in the comission of a crime, can they keep your car? This happened in Hackensack, NJ Bergen County

You need to get a lawyer to fight the forfeiture. Your car was most likely forfeited by the County Prosecutor. What you need to do is file papers immediately before the accused person pleads guilty. Not if you did not know the purposed for which the car was borrowed. Be careful that the police are not looking at you.
