car forfeiture laws

can your car be forfeited in nj if you owe the bank $30,000 on it. It was seized during a traffic stop and drugs were found-cds. They still have it now and its been almost 90 days next week.

Yes, it happens all of the time. If you have a good attorney, he or she can get the car back for you.

The only way they can take your car, regardless of the amount, is if the bank has a court order. Were you arrested after drugs were found? They can seize your vehicle if it was used in a commission of a crime. However, we do succeed to get vehicles released. Call us for free consultation.
