With respect to the shoplifting, the dollar amount determines whether you will be indicted. It is only robbery if you used force to steal whatever the item was. You may be indicted for the resisting depending upon the circumstances. If you have a prior conviction it may be very difficult to get PTI, plus the fact of the resisting can possibly prevent you from getting into PTI. As you can see, I need to know all the facts of the case and I need to review the discovery (evidence) before I could definitively answer your question. Why don't you call me for a free consultation? Thank you.

Resisting apprension when confronted by store security sometimes turns a shoplifting case into a robbery case. This is because shoplifting is form of theft and a robbery is a theft accomplished with threats of injury or actual injury.
