Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I've been charged with conspiracy to distribute. One of the co-conspirators that was charged happens to be the wrong person. Can this help my case?

Well, it depends on the facts surrounding how the police were able to charge all involved. I would need to know all the facts to see if it would help your case. I would advise that the charges could be very serious depending on your criminal record so you should retain counsel to represent you. If you would like to discuss further feel free to call my office 732-377-2005

It doesn't sounds like it can hurt. Hard to conspire with someone that wasn't in on it.

I can't give a definite answer until I read the discovery (evidence) in the case, but if the police made a fundamental error like you describe it could indicate other problems with the overall case. Please contact me to discuss your situation in more detail. I never charge for simply talking to a person about their case. Thank you.
