Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I have been charged with opperation of a vehicle with possession of a narcotic (it was marijuana). I live in the state of NJ. What will I expect to happen if I go into court and plead guilty? What will likely happen if I hire a lawyer? Thank you.

You seem to think that a lawyer is some sort of a psychic. That is not the case. What happens in a case depends on the facts of the case and the applicable law and the relative skill of the atorneys involved. You must be a bit more ambitious about protecting your future. You should be asking what you need to do to protect yourself. The answer is that you must obtain the services of an experienced criminal lawyer and work hard with him or her to take care of yourself.
