Would I be charged for possession of firarm when the firearm isn't no longer in my possession

Your question seems incomplete. I would think that you could be charged with the possession of a firearm if there were some evidence of same, whatever time frame the evidence points to, so long as the time frame is within the statute of limitations applying to the offense.
