I have no idea why everyone is making you believe this is not serious. You are being charged with robbery. Comitting a theft and during the act causing bodily injury. prosecutor could argue you had a weapon which makes this even more complicated. In a case like this you are looking at potential jail time. Quite a lot. I will be happy to give you a free phone consultation.

2C:15-1A is Robbery, which means that you injured someone in the course of committing a theft. There is absolutley no chance of any out of court settelement. You are facing an indictible second degree crime, which has a maximum penalty of ten years in state prison. Even as a first offender for the small amount of money at issue you are lookiing at a presumptive state prison term of some length of time. If you are found guilty of robbery then you will never be able to clear your record. You definitely need to hire an experienced criminal defense attorney to represent you on this case.

Please contact me to discuss your case in more detail. I never charge for an initial consultation on a case. Thank you.
