Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I have been charged last Sunday for offense code: 2C:33-4B on my daughter's father. I am wondering if there is any change in not having a criminal record for that since it is considered a petty offense. Obviously I got arrested for that. Thanks for your response. Take care.

You are charged with what is known as a quasi criminal offense. Quasi means almost. It will show up on a record check. Depending on your circumstances that could be a problem or no problem.

Unfortunatly any time you are charge with any sort of crime it goes on your record. Even only the arrest. If you plea guilty and end up only paying a fine, it still goes on your record. Many people misunderstand that simply paying a fine is not a criminal offense, that is false.
