Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

I have charges that go back as far as 12- 15 years ago. My charges are 3rd degree (2C: 35-10a(1), 2C:3510-5b (3) and 36-3). Will these charges interfere with my current employment (clerk) in a school district that I have been with for over 8 years?

You may be eligible to expunge your record, but the sale or distribution or intent to distribute

a controlled dangerous substance can not be expunged, unless the drug involved is hashish or

marijuana and the amount of the drug sole or distribution is not more than a certain amount.'

You should move for expungement, if it is available, immediately.

Call me if you like.

This has not affected your employment for the past eight years, so it is unlikely that it will suddenly do so. However, due to the time that has passed, you should consider filing for an expungement of your record. Please contact me to discuss this. Thank you.
