Is there a law that does not allow an individual who was convicted of aggravated assault to attend colleges/ universities following the completion of their sentence?

In short, NO, there is no such law. However, the fact of a felony conviction may preclude you from receiving federal or state student aid. You need to be upfront and honest with the admissions people when you apply for school. I am an attorney who has handled many criminal and criminal appeal cases in various courts in NJ in the past. If you have any further questions about this or any other legal matters please give me a call at 908-272-0111. Thank you.
