College attendance after convicted of a felony
Is there a law that does not allow an individual who was convicted of aggravated assault to attend colleges/ universities following the completion of their sentence?

In short, NO, there is no such law. However, the fact of a felony conviction may preclude you from receiving federal or state student aid. You need to be upfront and honest with the admissions people when you apply for school. I am an attorney who has handled many criminal and criminal appeal cases in various courts in NJ in the past.
