Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

What happens if you committed welfare fraud in the amount of $19,000. It was over two years ago, is there a statue of limitatons on this?. What can they do to me now and what would happen to me? I already had Pre trial Intervention 17 years ago. I really screwed up. I was in a bad domestic violent relationship, I have manic depression and wasn't taking my meds any more and was severley depressed. Over the past two years I have turned around my life and am almost done with college, I had gained the courage to leave my abuser two years ago after 9 years. My finances were a mess I claimed bankrupcy and this welfare amount was included in it and was written off. I am scared I am a single mother of a disabled son with no child support.

Sounds like you need a good attorney. Do you have any money now to hire one?
