I would like to know what is the statute of limitation for

filing a complaint on a New Jersey correctional officer?

Most criminal offenses have a five year statute of limitations. Offenses committed while acting as a public employee could be the basis of a charge of official misconduct which has a longer statute of limitations. I just do not remember what it is.
