Re: Computers seized
This just sounds like a crazy situation. They should have filed for forfeiture by now. While speedy trial is never really an issue in NJ, at this point I would suggest you file for one. More importantly, do you have a lawyer and what is he or she doing? I am really concerned that, one, this has been going on for two years, and two, you have to ask this question on this BBS.
I'd like to discuss this situation with you just so I know your case is being handled correctly. My initial consultations are always free and two of my major focus areas are gambling crime and computer crime (which includes evidence stored on a computer). Give me a call at 732/247/3340.
Re: Computers seized
The question is whether the computer
has been properly safeguarded so that
what was found thereon is not less or more or different from what was on the computer when it was seized.
Call me if you like.
