cond discharge njs 2c:35-10a(4)

i completed the conditional discharge satisfactory i received a certified letter stating ''completed terms'' of conditional discharge-dismissed when i apply for a job can I legally say ''no'' when asked ''have you ever been arrested?'' Can I legally say ''no'' when asked ''have I ever been convicted of a crime?'' thank you.

You have been arrested. If you want to be able to say no, you need an expungement. Call my office at 732/247/3340 to discuss this. You can say you were not convicted.

You need to apply to have the record of your arrest expunged. Since the charge was dismissed you were not convicted for committing a crime.
