Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
I had a contractor do work on my house after a water leak i paid him the first two insurance checks,but then stopped working on the house. I ended up finishing the house out of my own pocket,When the final check came in it had both our names on it, I tried to negotiate with the contractor to split the check but he said he was entitled to all of it,with that i sighned both names and deposited it in my account.If he pursue's a claim what are the penalty;s for me sighning his name?
