Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
court appearance to surety
I went to court last week, now I am getting a notice that says court appearance to surety and that my bail will be forfeited unless the defendant appears in court on the charges. Is this a hearing on bail, or of the charges?

Re: court appearance to surety
I'm sure you have an attorney, I suggest you call him or her with all of your questions.
This is just a notice because you have a bail bondsman. I have no idea what will happen in court, but if you are out on bail, there is rarely a need for a bail hearing.
