Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

Credit Card Fraud
I Have a friend who bought 5 Credit Cards and a Fake ID to someone for 2000, he told all that to the police and in an attempt to buy something in a store , store manager call police and they busted him and put two charges on him , one 3rd Degree For Attempting to buy something with fraudalent credit cards , and a 4th degree for Using Fake Identify , It was in the state of New Jersey , hes 18 years old ,from new york , with no Criminal Background . He cooporated and everything with the police , they set him a 5000 Bail bond with no 10% , BUT my friend being scared gave another name other than his , and other address other than his , he didnt had his id on him , and Because he is clean nothing came up in computer , What do you recommend to do ?
