Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey
Criminal Law
Hello - In NJ I was questioned by the FBI about money taken from an employer on 2/11/09, in May had an investigator call me from my the insurance company from my previous employer asking for the money over $100k, I never took that much, but since I was worried and scared I paid the company the money via a loan, I could not risk going to jail. This was paid in May and I got it all in writing the company will not press charges signed and done with. Around May 10th thereabouts I was told the US Attorney intends to prosecute me. To this day I have not heard anything from them, I did let them know it was all paid in full and the victim is whole plus sent them a copy of the legal agreement signed off by both parties. Do you think this is all behind me? Thanks

The deal you cut with the company may only have covered a possible civil claim. If so, you still may have to deal with criminal charges. With a charge this serious, you really need to have the assistance of an attorney. Call me if you would like to discuss it further at 877*688*3879.

There is no way to know for sure. If you were told that you will be prosecuted, it probably will happen.
Call me if you like.
