Legal Question in Criminal Law in New Jersey

criminal Law/ Wire Tap

I am looking for an attorney either in Georgia or New Jersey who will represent me in a case involving illegal wire tap. Someone I know has Illegally taped phone conversation without my consent to use against me for writing a book, and using in a college archives records. You may be out of luck in New Jersey. New Jersey permits taping of conversations if at least one party to the conversation consents. The remaining parties do not have to be told of the conversation. That being said, you may still have a cause of action for invasion of privacy. I would be willing to speak to you about this, if you like.

In New Jersey it is legal to tape record any conversation in which you are a participant. It is taping the confidential conversations of others which can be illegal.
